Cornerstone Christian School - Dress Code 2011-2012
UNIFORM
Shirt Colors*: Will vary depending on availability
Pants/Skirts**: Navy, Black or Khaki Uniform Style pants and shorts
Belt***: Black, Brown, Navy – No large buckle or decorate belts.
DRESS AND GROOMING
All pants must be worn at the waistline and must fit appropriately at the inseam and seat area.
All shirts must be tucked in and buttoned. When worn over the top of a T-shirt, shirts must be tucked in and buttoned to the second button. All shirts must have sleeves.
No midriff or tight fitting clothes are acceptable. This will be enforced. Student must be able to raise hands over head and/or bend down without their shirts un-tucking.
No jackets or other garments may be tied around the waist.
Suspenders and/or shoulder straps are to remain on the shoulder. No under garments should be visible.
Clothing with inappropriate material (ie, skulls, bad language, etc.) is not permitted.
Undershirts/tanks must be white when worn under polo shirts. No jacket or hoodies are to be worn in the classroom unless it is branded with the CCS logo.
BOYS
Must be clean-shaven at all times.
Earrings or other facial jewelry are prohibited.
Haircuts should be conservative, neatly trimmed and well groomed. Hair must be cut above the collar, above ears, and above the eyebrows. Hair must not be bushy or shaggy or long enough to curl up in the back to avoid the collar.
Length of hair spikes should be no longer than an inch and a half.
Must wear socks and full shoes. Tennis shoes are permissible.
GIRLS
Straight slits, over-lapping slits and wrap around skirts are to be pinned. Slits must not part above the knee.
Reasonable earrings are acceptable for young girls; however, other facial jewelry is not acceptable.
No unusual and/or distracting hairstyles, hair colors, nail polishes or make-up are acceptable. *(Lip gloss and light blush only-no extreme eye make-up.) Must wear closed toe, full back shoes or tennis shoes. Heels, open-backed shoes, and flip-flops present a health hazard and are not permitted.

**Uniform Style pants and skirts should have no patterns and should not be made of jean, denim, stretch, or corduroy material allowed.
***Belts must be worn when pants and shorts have belt loops.
